Tall Trees, a leading operator of aged care communities in Queensland, was awarded the Logan Chamber of Commerce High Achievers Award at the annual awards at the beginning of July.
The company received a special plaque to acknowledge their efforts after being selected the winner out of 100 businesses in the Logan district.
The award was to recognise the ongoing contribution that Tall Trees and its team has made to the Logan area and businesses.
Company director Phil Usher says that he commends staff in all levels of business throughout Tall Trees.
“It takes a team effort to make things like this happen and everybody has done a great job to develop the reputation we have today,” Mr Usher says.
“The quality aged care services provided by Tall Trees relies on the dedication and diligence shown by not only the nurses and carers, but also the administration staff working behind the scenes and forming close networks within the Logan business community.”
Mr Usher says the award strongly highlights a major part of the company’s ethos.
“Tall Trees’ neighbourhoods have been designed and operated specifically to encourage interaction between residents, as well as with the wider community,” Mr Usher says.
“We believe that integration plays an important part in allowing seniors to continue to live happy and fulfilling lives.
“The involvement we’ve had over time with local organisations has been a massive accomplishment for us, and goes a long way to helping us dissolve the perceived divide between the wider community and seniors in care facilities.”
Part of the new guard of accommodation for seniors, Tall Trees aims to provide custom care services for their residents whilst offering an environment that’s more like a village than an aged care facility.
